In short
- Billing isn’t open yet, and nobody is charged: every workspace gets Team free while we launch. We’ll give at least 30 days’ notice before paid plans start.
- Team will cost $8 per person a month billed yearly, or $10 billed monthly, with no minimum number of seats.
- You will pay only for people who have joined. Cancelling takes you back to Free, and nothing is deleted or locked.
- These terms describe how billing will work; they take effect when billing opens.
While we launch
Pinok doesn’t take payments yet. Every workspace gets Team free, and no plan limits apply. Before paid plans start, we will tell every workspace owner in the app and by email at least 30 days ahead, and publish the final version of these terms. Nobody is moved to a paid plan without choosing it: you can always stay on Free.
Plans and limits
Free holds up to 5 people, 3 active projects (archived projects don’t count) and 1 GB of files, with every feature. Team has no limit on people or projects, 100 GB of files and priority support. People are counted when they have joined; active projects are those not archived; storage is the total size of files on tasks and comments, not profile photos or logos. Who is billed
A plan belongs to a workspace, and the workspace owner subscribes on its behalf. Each workspace is billed separately: being in a paid workspace doesn’t upgrade your other workspaces. [to confirm: a billing admin role]
Billing cycles and renewal
Team is paid in advance, monthly or yearly, and renews automatically until cancelled. We will remind yearly subscribers before each renewal.
People and seats
- No minimum number of seats, and no bundles of seats.
- Someone who joins mid-term is charged only for the rest of the term.
- Someone who leaves is credited on the next invoice of a monthly plan, and stops being counted at renewal on a yearly plan.
- Invitations are free until they are accepted.
Free trial
Once billing opens, a workspace can try Team free for 14 days, once, without a card. When the trial ends without a subscription, the workspace goes back to Free.
Prices, currency and tax
Prices are in US dollars. VAT, GST or sales tax will be added at checkout where the law requires it, and businesses will be able to add a VAT ID. If we sell through a merchant of record, it will be the seller of record and its buyer terms will apply too. [to confirm: payment provider]
If a payment fails
We will retry and tell the workspace owner. If it still fails after [14 days], the workspace goes back to Free. Nothing is deleted.
Cancelling
You will be able to cancel at any time on the web. The plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then the workspace goes back to Free. If it is over the Free limits, everything there keeps working, but you can’t add people, active projects or files until it is under them.
Refunds
[to confirm: refund policy, for example no refunds for partial periods except where the law requires, or a full refund within 14 days of the first payment]. Consumers in the EU and UK keep their statutory right of withdrawal where it applies.
Price changes
We will give at least 30 days’ notice of a price change, and it will apply from your next renewal.
Discounts
Nonprofits and schools: 50% off Team, on request through the contact form [to confirm]. One discount at a time.
App stores
You won’t be able to buy a plan inside the iPhone or Android apps: you subscribe on the web, and the apps unlock Team as soon as it is active.
Invoices and receipts
Invoices and receipts will be sent by email and kept on the billing page, with your company details and VAT ID if you add them.
